Okay! After a long gap in bloggy stuff on the net web I’m back!

Okay!  After a long gap in bloggy stuff on the net web, I’m back!  The Album is done!  I’m over in Scotland and adjusted to life at the slower, not on the road sorta pace.  Email me if you’d like to get a copy of the album. Click the contact button on my website. www.davemanning.net   They are being shipped out!  Wahoo!  And thanks to everyone that helped with that financially and with hours of volunteer work.  The above turned out to be the cover shot.  You’ll have to see it on the finished album sometime.

This photo is at one of my favorite camp spots near Goldfield, Nevada.  It is in the Great Basin Desert, one of the three deserts of America.  Water that falls in this photo never flows out of this valley.  It evaporates out of a lake-bed (out of the photo) that is usually dry.

Finally did it! I got all the harmonica parts and a clarinet solo done!

Finally did it!  I got all the harmonica parts and a clarinet solo done!  The Album is all recorded.  Here’s Vincent, my bus, in the remote Arizona canyon I used for its great reverb.  I counted 9 echos in this part of the canyon.  So!  CD will be out very soon, I’m working on final mixies of songs and final graphics stuff with Mike Mamrosh down in Tucson.  Mike does the graphics for well-loved Nimbus Brewing Company there.  Contact me if you want a copy of the Album.  I’m going to start addressing envelopes to send them out soon.  $15 postage included for fans.  Wahoo!  Thanks to all my supporters that made this happen.  You Kickstarter folks are already on my address list, look for an email from me with details.

Wahoo!

Canyon Camping, Harmonica & Clarinet

Canyon where I am camping the next several days.  I was there last week and began recording harmonica parts for new album.  I’m playing through mic hooked to 450 watt Speaker.  Then I’m recording with two mics placed about 50 feet behind me.  What I’m picking up is a great natural echo.  I’ll be out there this week and next hopefully finishing harmonica and (gasp) clarinet parts.  I hadn’t touched my clarinet in years, but am working up a couple solos for some of the songs.  Wahooo!

I’ll be at the Lake Havasu VW bus show this coming weekend.  Look foward to seeing old friends.  I’ll send a post.
